Buyer information, not installation instructions. Requirements depend on the adopted local code and exact product. Electrical work and site diagnosis should be performed by qualified professionals.
Choose the device finish and wallplate together if you want the same appearance across a project. Keep that combination in the specification so it can be repeated throughout the order.
Choose the electrical model before the color
Start with the rating, configuration and functions the project needs. Do not substitute a different electrical specification just to get a preferred finish.
Then check the finishes offered for each model. A color shown for one GFCI does not establish what is available for a smart switch or metal wallplate; palettes and surface finishes vary across the range.
Compare samples under project lighting
Place the device and plate together under the lighting planned for the project. Screen images can help you narrow the choice, but they cannot guarantee a physical color match. Use actual samples to approve a finish that matters to the specification.
Keep a record of the approved combination
Record the model, finish name, plate style and approved sample reference on the order. For a multi-gang installation, also confirm the opening arrangement and dimensions.
For private-label work, discuss proposed finishes, authorized branding and packaging with FAHINT before making a commitment to your customer. We need to confirm feasibility, quantities and lead times for the selected product and finish.
